As the mastermind of packing, Terri’s got our pre-Alaskan escapade checklist down to an art. We’re not just packing; we’re curating a wardrobe for our summer stint in Fairbanks - where the sun winks at midnight and the air whispers tales of the gold rush.

Our bags will brim with layers versatile enough to tango with Fairbanks’ fickle thermometer, dancing between 61°F to 72°F. But beware, the weather’s a trickster here, so we’re armed with attire that can handle its mood swings. Layers are the answer!

Workwear: A Time Travel to the '50s Terri’s rocking the flannel and denim duo, while I, Allen, don the engineer’s bibs and a hat that hark back to the 1950s. With work gloves in hand, I’m ready to steer the train through the crisp Alaskan mornings. Our boots? They’re not just for walking; they’re our time machines to the gold rush era.

Off-Duty Essentials When we clock out, it’s all about soaking in the endless daylight. Sunglasses? Check. Because who needs stars when you have the midnight sun’s eternal glow? And let’s not forget the Midnight Sun Game – Fairbanks annual baseball game under a sky that refuses to dim.

What’s Still Missing? We’ve got camp chairs for lounging, fishing gear for the catch of the day, binoculars for nature’s close-ups, and bug spray - because the only buzz we want is from the excitement. But we’re open to suggestions! What are your must-haves for an Alaskan summer? Drop us a comment and join our journey!
